Dr. Kamol's Metoidioplasty Surgery involves releasing the clitoris from surrounding tissues so that it appears longer and has a more forward position (Simple Release.) Urethral Lengthening with Vaginectomy is optional (Full Metoidioplasty.) This enables most patients to stand to urinate. If Testicular Implants are desired, Scrotoplasty is performed during Stage 1. Tissue expanders (or Testicular Implants if expanders are not used) can be inserted during Stage 1 but only if Uretheal Lengthening was not performed. Otherwise, one must wait 3 months for the new length of urethra to heal first. A Mons Resection procedure may improve results, making the penis more visible and improving positioning. This is done at Stage 2, along with removal of the tissue expanders and insertion of Testicular Implants (if expanders were used.)
Surgery Result: Dependent on clitoral growth from Testosterone and DHT treatment; circumsized appearance; small-sized penis, more child-sized than adult; sensation retained; minimal scarring. The best results are typically achieved in patients who are thin or near their ideal body weight. Phalloplasty can be done at a later date, if desired.

- Minimum age of 20. (For patients aged 18 & 19, parental consent is required.)
- 1 Year of HRT
- 1 Year of RLE
- History of gender dysphoria
- Support letter from mental health professional
- Good general health
